A cynical poet once said ” Lamentations were composed to ease the suffering of farmers and soldiers. The elements being their true enemy.” The heart of this irony is how inclement weather imposes on the lives of pivotal actors in society. It is not hysterical to assume they would have a manic desire to control the heavens. If recent weather technology testimony proves accurate that extraordinary day has finally arrived and is bound to be wrought with dire consequences.
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) in Gakona, Alaska is a jointly funded project involving the US Air Force, US Navy and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Its publicly stated purpose is to develop ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance. In a recent admission David Walker, deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for science, technology and engineering testified during a US Senate hearing to divert funds away from HAARP. “We’re moving on to other ways of managing the ionosphere, which the HAARP was really designed to do, to inject energy into the ionosphere to be able to actually control it. But that work has been completed.”
The HAARP project is the brainchild of scientist Dr. Bernard Eastlund whom stated in his patent application the following, “A means and method is provided to cause interference with or even total disruption of communications over a very large portion of the earth. This invention could be employed to disrupt not only land based communications, both civilian and military, but also airborne communications and sea communications. This would have significant military implications.” Blocking communications from foreign nations is merely the start of a project with the potential to create storms, tidal waves and earthquakes.
The major powers are actively involved in weather manipulation. China has been involved in weather modification since 1958 and used 1100 rockets full of silver iodine to stop rain during their 2008 Olympics. Russia, since the Soviet era, experimented with cloud seeding and often intervened during state parades, funerals and large scale military exercises. Where is the ethical consideration first and foremost before tampering with meteorological systems capable of harming millions of earthly inhabitants?
We live in dangerous times where robotic drones disintegrate desperadoes in distant lands while the same policy makers violate the natural order of planetary existence. Is nothing sacred, nothing untouchable, that even rain from skies should be told how and when to fall? And what price is levied against humanity when Mother Nature is knocked out of synchronicity and decides to neuter instead of nurture the world? Heaven knows.
