अब चाहता है दिल कोई नादानी करें
दरिया-ए -ज़िंदगी में कुछ रवानी करें
आँखों में लायें ख्वाब और दिल में हसरतें
तारों से भरी रात फिर सुहानी करें
मसले हक़ीक़तों के हो जाएँ दर – गुज़र
लिख कर तसव्वुरात को कहानी करें
बचपन तो खो दिया है, जवानी संभाल कर
उम्र -ए – रवाँ को रोक जाविदानी करें
जीते रहे औरों के लिए आजतक मगर
ख़्वाहिश है कि अब ख़ुद पे मेहरबानी करें
अरसे से रहे लज़्ज़ते – गुनाह से महरूम
ऐसा भी कुछ हो जिसकी राज़दानी करें
सोचें ना रास्तों के नशेबों – फ़राज़ को
जुर्रत करें ना कोई बदगुमानी करें
अब तक खुली किताब में लिखते रहे हिसाब
अब उन सफ़ों को इश्क़िया कहानी करें
ग़म, दर्द, अश्क़, शिकवे – शिकायत बहुत हुए
बस आज ज़िंदगी को शादमानी करें
जी चाहता है आज हम बगावत करें
मरता हुआ वजूद ज़िंदगानी करें
DEFIANCE
Now I feel like doing something extreme
Creating ripples in the life’s stream
Bring dreams for eyes , for heart some longing
And once again make the starry night charming
Forgoing the hassles of realities
Romanticize the reveries and fantasies
Lost the childhood, but, by halting pace of time
Let’s eternalize the the youth prime
So far lived for others only
Now wish to serve ourselves only
Let there be disruption in long silences
Let’s tease the tempests And daunting occurrences
For ages been deprived of pleasures of sin
Let there be, now, something clandestine
Let’s not consider ups and downs of route
Let us dare and not have any kind of doubt
Till now we’ve been writing open- book account
Now let those pages our romance recount
Gloom, pains, tears and complaints manifold
Let’s make our life, now, happiness untold
Wish to be, today, mutinous and vain
And make this dying existence alive again
